Description

A way is needed to:
  • track completion percentage when a Ganeti instance is being created
  • report this completion percentage back to the API layer.

A progress monitoring tool, snf-progress-monitor has been developed and pushed to the repository under snf-ganeti-tools/.
The monitor watches data movement by commands used for image deployment (restore and ntfsclone) and produces AMQP notifications of type 'ganeti-create-progress'.

The Synnefo-specific Ganeti Instance Image repository has been updated to include support for calling snf-progress-monitor during create operations.
