Description

Investigate whether snf-progress-monitor can be extended to monitor the actual number of blocks synced to the underlying storage medium, instead of read/write syscalls by the process deploying the image.

This can lead to more accurate progress reporting.

New image deployment mechanism (#969) does streaming writes using direct I/O to bypass the cache.
This eliminates the problem of inaccurate progress reporting, targeted by this ticket.

Removing Target Version, this ticket will not be implemented for the time being.
