Merge remote-tracking branch 'kwolf/for-anthony' into staging
block: Attach non-qdev devices as well
For now, this just protects against programming errors like having thesame drive back multiple non-qdev devices, or untimely bdrv_delete().Later commits will add other interesting uses.
While there, rename BlockDriverState member peer to dev, bdrv_attach()...
pflash_cfi01/pflash_cfi02: convert to memory API
cfi02 is annoying in that is ignores some address bits; we probablywant explicit support in the memory API for that.
In order to get the correct opaque into the MemoryRegion object, theallocation scheme is changed so that the flash emulation code allocates...

Add endianness as io mem parameter
As stated before, devices can be little, big or native endian. Thetarget endianness is not of their concern, so we need to push thingsdown a level.
This patch adds a parameter to cpu_register_io_memory that allows adevice to choose its endianness. For now, all devices simply choose...

pflash: Buffer block writes
Buffer block writes to avoid flushing every word access onto backingstorage device. This significantly speeds up flash emulation for flashesconnected through an 8 or 16-bit bus combined with backing storage (-pflash).

In the very least, a change like this requires discussion on the list.

Check block driver read error in pflash_cfi0x
If a flash file of size smaller than the flash size is specified inthe -pflash option, the block driver returns error. But thepflash_cfi0x ignores the error. This results in a flash content of allzeroes. And the simulation aborts while executing code....
