Description
ntfsclone
will restore images of NTFS partitions on larger devices without problems, but the resulting filesystem does not use all of the available space on the larger partition.
- Create a Windows VM, 40GB disk.
- Go to Computer / Management / Storage / Disk Management
- Disk 0 is 40GB, contains a single partition of size 40GB, yet the actual NTFS filesystem is 13GB in size.
